Job Description :

- We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator / Database Engineer with strong experience in PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and data integrity across multiple DBMS platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases

- Monitor database performance and perform tuning (queries, indexes, memory, storage)

- Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies

- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance standards

- Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis

- Perform database migrations and upgrades

- Work closely with application developers and system administrators

- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, etc.)

- Maintain database documentation and operational procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of DBMS concepts (normalization, indexing, transactions, locking)

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and/or Microsoft SQL Server

- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL

- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization

- Knowledge of backup/recovery tools (RMAN, pg_dump, SQL Server backup)

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

- Understanding of high availability, replication, and clustering

- Good problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud)

- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OEM, SSMS)

- Experience with DevOps or CI/CD for databases

- Relevant certifications (Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
