Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned ETL Migration SME to lead the migration of enterprise data workflows from Apache Airflow to Talend. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both platforms and a proven track record of delivering successful ETL modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the migration of ETL pipelines from Apache Airflow to Talend.

- Analyze existing Airflow DAGs and translate orchestration logic into Talend workflows.

- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Talend jobs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

- Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance throughout the migration process.

- Create migration documentation, standards, and training materials.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

Required Skills :

- 8 - 10 years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering.

- Strong expertise in Apache Airflow and Talend (Talend Studio, Talend Cloud).

- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Talend components.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Talend certification (e.g., Talend Data Integration Certified Developer).

- Experience in large-scale ETL modernization or migration projects.

- Knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

- Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks.
