About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Guidewire Data Migration Lead to join our Technology Consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing data migration activities across large-scale Guidewire implementation projects globally. You will serve as a key technical leader guiding ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, validation, and overall migration strategy, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and client teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Client & Technical Responsibilities :
- Lead data migration workstreams in Guidewire implementation projects (PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data mapping, transformation logic, and conversion strategies.
- Analyze and interpret complex legacy data for migration to Guidewire xCenters.
- Work with development teams to design and validate ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripts using tools such as SSIS.
- Design and execute data validation, reconciliation, and audit frameworks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data migration.
- Conduct mock conversions, dry runs, and production cutover support.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, gaps, and discrepancies.
- Document detailed data dictionaries, data models, mapping specifications, and post-migration reports.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
- Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-go-live stabilization.
- Interface regularly with customer representatives and onsite teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data migration methodologies and best practices.
Leadership & People Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead and mentor to junior team members.
- Manage delivery performance of the data migration team in alignment with project goals.
- Promote a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to training, mentoring, and development of team members.
- Participate in organization-wide people initiatives and process improvement efforts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 410 years of overall industry experience, including extensive experience in Guidewire data migration.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter data models.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire xCenters, PMT/CMT tools.
- Proficient in ETL tools and technologies, particularly SSIS.
- Expertise in data conversion mapping from legacy insurance systems.
- Experience in data modeling, profiling, integration, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Strong grasp of enterprise data architecture, data warehouses, and BI/reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of data retention, lifecycle management, taxonomy, and data governance.
- Experience working with enterprise system integrations, ideally within the P&C insurance domain.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior client-facing experience is essential.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter migration projects.
- Familiarity with data migration during Guidewire upgrades.
- Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to insurance data.
