ETL Developer - SSIS/Informatica

Role Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive ETL Developer with hands-on experience in SSIS and/or Informatica to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data integration solutions.

The role involves building scalable ETL processes that transform, load, and manage data across systems for analytics, reporting, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and/or Informatica PowerCenter.

- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, APIs, Excel, and cloud platforms.

- Develop stored procedures, functions, packages, and SQL queries to support ETL logic and business rules.

- Optimize and fine-tune existing ETL processes for better performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and data validation to ensure data quality and consistency.

- Maintain detailed technical documentation for ETL processes, mappings, and workflows.

- Collaborate with data architects, BI analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver clean, structured data solutions.

- Monitor daily data loads and resolve ETL failures or performance issues in a timely manner.

- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance across all ETL processes.

- Participate in code reviews, peer testing, and production deployment activities.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in SSIS and/or Informatica PowerCenter development and troubleshooting.

- Solid experience in SQL programming and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.

- Proficiency in ETL performance tuning and error handling.

- Knowledge of data modeling concepts, data warehousing principles, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs).

- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, metadata management, and logging strategies.

- Experience working with source control systems (e.g, Git, TFS) and job schedulers (e.g, Control-M, Autosys).

- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake) is a plus.

- Understanding of data governance and compliance standards (e.g, GDPR, HIPAA).

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 35 years of relevant experience in ETL development using SSIS and/or Informatica.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Beneficial) :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer Associate

- Informatica PowerCenter Developer Certification

- Any SQL/BI/ETL-related certifications
