Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled ETL Database Tester with 5-10 years of experience, including 5+ years of dedicated database testing. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and integrity of our data pipelines and warehousing solutions. This role requires strong proficiency in PL/SQL, complex query writing, a solid understanding of DWH concepts, and experience with ETL tools like Informatica. You'll work on understanding intricate requirements, designing robust testing strategies, and contributing to high-quality data deliveries.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform strong hands-on database testing for ETL processes and data warehouse solutions.

- Utilize advanced PL/SQL skills to read and write stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL queries involving arithmetic and aggregate functions.

- Apply knowledge and understanding of Snowflake for data validation and testing activities.

- Develop and execute scripts using Python programming for data analysis, validation, and test automation.

- Work extensively on DWH (Data Warehouse) projects, demonstrating clear understanding of DWH concepts, including Kimball/Inmon methodologies.

- Possess a deep understanding of ETL tools like Informatica to effectively test data transformations and loads.

- Analyze complex data requirements and design comprehensive testing strategies tailored to those requirements.

- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the testing life cycle and apply hands-on experience in testing deliveries, from test planning to execution and reporting.

- Conduct API testing for data integration points, specifically familiar with REST and SOAP protocols.

- Collaborate with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to ensure data quality and consistency.

- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of relevant experience in Database testing.

- Strong PL/SQL skills, including the ability to read and write stored procedures, complex queries, arithmetic functions, and aggregate functions.

- Knowledge and understanding of Snowflake data warehouse.

- Proficient in Python programming for data analysis and testing.

- Experience in a DWH project with clear DWH concepts and understanding of ETL Tools like Informatica.

- Able to understand complex requirements and draft comprehensive testing strategies around them.

- Excellent knowledge of the testing life cycle and hands-on experience in testing deliveries.

- Familiar with API testing (REST and SOAP).

Experience Required :

- Experience in reporting tools like PowerBI.

- Experience with Snaplogic and AWS cloud services.

- Experience in job scheduling with tools like Control-M / NiFi.

- Sound knowledge of the finance domain.

- Automation knowledge will be good to have.
