ETL Consultant - Informatica IDMC

Job Overview :

We are seeking a technically strong Informatica Administrator / ETL Consultant to support and manage enterprise-scale data integration environments. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Informatica MDM, IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud) modules, and strong troubleshooting and environment management capabilities. You will work closely with data engineering, application development, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure, and optimized data operations across hybrid cloud ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to manage deployments, monitor services, and implement environment optimizations.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the end-to-end data integration pipelineincluding data sources, workflows, transformations, job orchestration, and network-level configurations.

- Configure and manage metadata scanning, profiling, and data governance activities through Informatica tools.

- Design and enforce best practices around metadata management, data quality, and data lineage documentation.

- Proactively support development teams and business users by mentoring on Informatica usage, providing environment-level insights, and troubleshooting access and configuration issues.

- Perform upgrades, patching, and environment automation tasks for Informatica services and dependent systems.

Must-Have Technical Skills :

Informatica Platform Administration :

- 46 years of direct administration experience with the following IDMC modules :

- CDGC Cloud Data Governance and Catalog

- CDMP Cloud Data Marketplace

- CDQ Cloud Data Quality

- CDI Cloud Data Integration

- Metadata Command Center

Data Management & Integration :

- Familiarity with managing data catalog taxonomies, attribute-level metadata, and lineage mapping.

Infrastructure & Scripting :

- Proficient in Linux OS administration for Informatica platform support.

- Working knowledge of basic shell scripting to automate environment monitoring and tasks.

- Experience working with MS SQL Server as a metadata repository and staging environment.

Cloud Architecture & Integration :

- Exposure to API-based integrations, OAuth configurations, and cloud-native security frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with DevOps tools for CI/CD and monitoring (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Splunk, or AppDynamics).

- Exposure to Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery as cloud-based analytical platforms.

- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).

Soft Skills :

- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities for root cause analysis in complex environments.

- Ability to document processes, prepare runbooks, and create knowledge base articles for internal teams.
