ETL Automation Tester

Job Title : ETL Automation Tester (SDET)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented ETL Automation Tester (SDET) with expertise in automation testing for data integration and transformation workflows.

This role blends Quality Engineering and Data Engineering, requiring strong test automation capabilities and a solid understanding of data pipelines, messaging systems, and NoSQL/search platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts for ETL workflows.

- Perform ETL Testing, including data validation, data quality checks, and transformation verification.

- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Java + Selenium.

- Conduct API Testing (REST APIs) to validate backend services and integrations.

- Work with messaging systems (Kafka or similar) for data streaming validation.

- Validate data on NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)

- Perform search validation and indexing tests using OpenSearch / Elasticsearch.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and report results.

- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and QA teams to ensure product quality.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in ETL Testing and Test Automation.

- Proficiency in Java + Selenium.

- Hands-on experience in REST API Testing.

- At least two of the following skill sets :

1. Kafka (or other queuing system).

2. NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.

3. OpenSearch / Elasticsearch.

- Good knowledge of data validation techniques, automation frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
