We are looking for a highly capable ERP Functional Consultant with strong techno-functional expertise in Odoo ERP to support, configure, customize, and enhance enterprise ERP solutions.

This role requires hands-on experience across functional modules along with a solid understanding of Odoos technical architecture, integrations, data models, and upgrade processes.

The consultant will work closely with business users, developers, QA, and clients to ensure scalable, high-performing, and business-aligned ERP implementations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

ERP Support & Technical Operations :

- Provide first-level and advanced functional support for Odoo ERP, handling incidents, service requests, and system issues.

- Analyze functional and technical issues, identify root causes at the database, configuration, or module level, and coordinate fixes.

- Work with Odoo logs, error traces, and system monitoring tools to diagnose performance and functional issues.

- Use ticketing systems to track issues, SLAs, resolutions, and recurring problem patterns.

Odoo Configuration & Customization :

- Configure and manage core Odoo modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, HR, Manufacturing, and Projects.

- Perform functional customizations using Odoo Studio and coordinate technical customizations with developers.

- Define workflows, approval rules, access rights, record rules, and user roles.

- Prepare functional and techno-functional specifications for custom module development.

Techno-Functional Collaboration :

- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and Odoo developers by translating business requirements into technical requirements.

- Review technical designs, custom modules, and enhancements to ensure functional correctness and scalability.

- Support development teams with functional validation, dependency analysis, and impact assessment.

System Performance & Optimization :

- Monitor ERP performance, database health, and transactional efficiency.

- Identify performance bottlenecks related to workflows, reports, custom modules, or integrations.

- Recommend optimizations such as process reengineering, module refactoring, or configuration improvements.

- Support data cleanup, archiving strategies, and master data governance.

Integrations & Data Management :

- Support integrations between Odoo and third-party systems using REST APIs, XML-RPC, JSON, and middleware tools.

- Assist in data migration, imports, exports, and reconciliation using Odoo ORM and external tools.

- Validate integration flows, data mapping, and error-handling mechanisms.

Upgrades, Testing & Release Management :

- Assist in Odoo version upgrades, patch deployments, and module updates.

- Perform regression testing, functional testing, and UAT for new features and customizations.

- Validate backward compatibility of custom modules during upgrades.

- Coordinate release deployments with QA and DevOps teams.

Documentation & Knowledge Management :

- Create and maintain functional, technical, and configuration documentation.

- Document custom workflows, module dependencies, integrations, and system architecture.

- Maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and ERP best practices documentation.

User Training & Enablement :

- Conduct functional and system training for end users and power users.

- Provide technical-functional guidance on system usage, workflows, and reporting.

- Support change management and ERP adoption initiatives.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction :

- Interact with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solution guidance.

- Participate in requirement workshops, solution demos, and post-implementation support calls.

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience as an ERP Functional or Techno-Functional Consultant with Odoo ERP.

- In-depth understanding of ERP business processes and system architecture.

- Working knowledge of Odoo framework, ORM, PostgreSQL database, and module structure.

- Basic to intermediate exposure to Python, XML, and Odoo customization concepts.

- Experience with ERP integrations, APIs, and data migration activities.

- Hands-on experience with testing cycles, UAT, and ERP upgrades.

- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in BPM / BPO or service-oriented ERP environments.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for ERP deployments.

- Exposure to cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure, Odoo.sh).

- Knowledge of ITIL-based support and incident management processes
