Estuate - Maximo/ICD Techno-Functional Consultant

Role Overview :

The Techno-Functional Maximo / ICD SME will act as a subject matter expert bridging business processes with technical design across IBM Maximo EAM and IBM Control Desk (ICD) environments.

The SME will provide end-to-end guidance on solution design, implementation, integration, and optimization, ensuring that enterprise asset management and IT service management processes are aligned and fully leveraged.

This role combines functional expertise in asset and service management with technical skills in system configuration, integration, automation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

Functional Expertise :

- Engage with business stakeholders to analyze requirements for Maximo and ICD modules.

- Design and configure process workflows for :

1. Asset & Location Management.

a. Work Orders & Preventive Maintenance.

b. Service Requests, Incident, and Problem Management (ICD).

c. Inventory, Procurement & Contracts.

d. SLAs and Escalations.

- Support UAT planning and execution, data validation, and user training for both Maximo and ICD.

- Ensure alignment with ITIL/ISO 20000/ISO 55000 frameworks for asset and IT service management.

Technical Expertise :

- Configure and customize Maximo and ICD applications, including automation scripts, MBO customizations, workflow designs, and security roles.

- Develop and maintain BIRT or Cognos reports, dashboards, and analytics.

- Manage Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and ICD integrations with ERP, ITSM tools, monitoring, and IoT platforms.

- Troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues, working across Maximo, ICD, and integrated systems.

- Support upgrades, patches, migrations, and environment setups for Maximo and ICD.

- Provide solution design reviews and enforce best practices for configuration, integrations, and workflows.

Strategic & Advisory :

- Act as the primary SME for Maximo and ICD deployments, upgrades, and process optimizations.

- Provide guidance on enterprise architecture, integration strategies, and performance tuning.

- Participate in roadmap planning, governance, and knowledge transfer to project teams.

- Recommend and implement process improvements leveraging Maximo and ICD capabilities.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in IBM Maximo EAM 7.x / MAS 8 Manage.

- Strong experience with IBM Control Desk (ICD) / ITSM modules.

- Proficient in :

a. Java / J2EE, Automation Scripts (Jython/Python/JavaScript).

b. Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and ICD APIs.

c. BIRT/Cognos reporting.

d. Databases : IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server.

e. Application Servers : WebSphere / Liberty / WebLogic.

- Knowledge of cloud/container environments (OpenShift, AWS, Azure) is a plus.

- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
