Job Description - Technical Architect (Integration & Azure APIM)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect specializing in Integrations and Azure API Management (APIM). The ideal candidate will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions. This role requires deep expertise in API governance, Azure security frameworks, middleware orchestration, and authentication protocols.

The Solution Architect will work closely with Salesforce teams, technical leads, and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence across business-critical platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & Design :

- Design and define the end-to-end Salesforce integration architecture using Azure APIM and middleware components.

- Establish API governance frameworks including versioning, throttling, caching, and rate limiting.

- Create architecture documents such as blueprints, HLD/LLD, integration patterns, and API specifications.

- Define standards for request/response transformations, payload optimization, and token management.

2. Integration & Middleware Engineering :

- Architect middleware services for Salesforce API consumption, orchestration, and transformation.

- Design and optimize serverless workflows (Azure Functions, Logic Apps) for data synchronization and automation processes.

- Ensure scalability, reusability, and consistency across all APIs exposed through Azure APIM.

3. Security & Compliance :

- Implement authentication and authorization using Azure Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.

- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and data protection policies.

- Set up key and secret management practices using Azure Key Vault, including key rotation and encryption.

4. DevOps, Monitoring & Delivery :

- Oversee CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments and APIM configurations.

- Monitor API performance, SLAs, and consumption patterns using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

- Provide technical leadership to development and QA teams throughout the delivery cycle.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Engage with Salesforce product owners, enterprise architects, and infrastructure teams to align integration strategies.

- Conduct solution walkthroughs, technical validations, and design approval sessions.

- Support UAT, Go-Live readiness, production deployment, and knowledge transfer activities.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong experience with Azure API Management (APIM) - API design, policies, security, orchestration.

- Hands-on expertise with Azure Entra ID, OAuth/SAML/JWT, and enterprise security frameworks.

- Experience in Azure DNS, domain hosting, certificate mapping, CNAME routing, and SSL setup.

- Proficiency with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API integrations.

- Deep understanding of Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming) and Connected Apps.

- Expertise in Azure Key Vault for encryption, secret management, and certificate handling.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps preferred).

Educational Qualification :
