Role Summary :

The Data Engineer will build, test, and deploy data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the hybrid ELT framework, integrating data from Salesforce and other enterprise sources into a governed PostgreSQL warehouse under Purview oversight.

Key Responsibilities :

- Set up and manage Fivetran connectors for Salesforce and other core data sources.

- Develop and maintain DBT transformation models for Silver and Gold layers.

- Implement data validation and quality checks across all layers.

- Optimize SQL transformations for performance and scalability.

- Align data models with KPI definitions and reporting requirements.

- Deploy code through CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent.

- Support testing, documentation, and hypercare post-deployment.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering.

- Hands-on experience with DBT Cloud/Core, and PostgreSQL.

- Proficiency in SQL, ELT pipeline design, and data modeling.

- Experience with DevOps and version control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.).

- Understanding of data governance and cataloging (Purview exposure preferred).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred :

- Familiarity with Salesforce schema and KPI-driven reporting models.

- Experience working in low-code or hybrid ELT environments.

- Register datasets, lineage, and schema in Azure Purview.
