About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Digital Payments Test Engineer with strong expertise in testing payment systems and banking applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating UPI, IMPS, ATM, NEFT, RTGS, and other digital payment channels. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, security, and compliance of digital payment applications through comprehensive functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.

Key Responsibilities :

Payment Systems Testing :

- Perform end-to-end testing of Digital Payment applications.

- Validate payment transaction flows across various channels.

- Test UPI, IMPS, ATM, NEFT, RTGS, and Payment Gateway integrations.

- Verify transaction processing, reconciliation, settlements, and exception handling.

- Ensure compliance with banking and payment regulations.

Functional & Integration Testing :

- Prepare test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

- Execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing.

- Validate interfaces between banking systems and payment platforms.

- Perform defect tracking and root cause analysis.

- Support SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.

API & Backend Testing :

- Validate REST and SOAP APIs.

- Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.

- Verify request/response validations and transaction integrity.

- Conduct database validations using SQL queries.

Test Automation (Preferred) :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

- Support automation initiatives for payment testing.

- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams for continuous testing.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Banking Operations teams.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.

- Provide regular testing status and quality reports.

Required Technical Skills :

Banking & Payments Domain :

- Strong experience in one or more : UPI, IMPS, ATM Switch Applications, NEFT, RTGS, Payment Gateways, Merchant Payments, Digital Banking, Mobile Banking.

Testing Expertise :

- Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, End-to-End Testing, User Acceptance Testing Support.

API Testing :

- Postman, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, JSON, XML.

Database Skills :

- SQL Queries, Data Validation, Transaction Verification, Database Testing.

Test Management Tools :

- Experience with: JIRA, HP ALM / Quality Center, Azure DevOps (Preferred).

Preferred Skills :

- Automation Testing using Selenium or Playwright.

- Exposure to Core Banking systems.

- Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards.

- Experience in ATM switch testing.

- Exposure to NPCI payment systems.

- Understanding of payment reconciliation processes.

Domain Knowledge :

- Mandatory understanding of : Digital Payments Ecosystem, Banking Transaction Lifecycles, Payment Processing Workflows, Merchant Settlement Processes, Regulatory Compliance in Payments.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
