General Summary :

This position is for QA Engineer. We work in an agile fashion, small cross functional squads, with daily stand-ups and fortnightly retrospectives. You will bring new ideas and become an integral part of the process of continuously improving our product.

Job Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain automated API web services using SoapUI tools, Postman and Rest Assured or equivalent.

- Perform functional, backend, and API testing to ensure high-quality software delivery, utilizing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured to ensure accuracy and reliability.

- Collaborate closely with the development and product teams to understand requirements and provide testing insights throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Apply strong debugging skills to identify, report, and track software defects efficiently.

- Work in an Agile environment, adhering to Agile QA methodologies, processes, and tools.

- Utilize JIRA for issue tracking, project management, and detailed reporting on testing progress and defect resolution.

- Analyse logs and perform in-depth debugging to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes effectively.

- Contribute to code reviews, offering feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, and testability.

- Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance and automation testing.

- Actively participate in all aspects of manual testing and maintain awareness of various types of quality assurance testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in automation of API web services using SoapUI tools, Postman and Rest Assured or equivalent.

- Experience in developing automation frameworks for Web, API, and ETL.

- Strong understanding and experience in functional testing, backend testing, and API testing.

- Proficiency in backend development to support testing efforts.

- Knowledge of Agile QA methodologies, processes, and tools, particularly JIRA.

- Demonstrated ability to analyse the logs and perform effective debugging.

- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

- Should have knowledge of writing SQL queries.

- Bachelor's degree on computer science, information systems, information technology or related disciplines
