Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in the Payments domain, who can take ownership of feature development, backlog refinement, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and a proven track record in delivering complex, transaction-based systems within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities :

Backlog Management :

- Ensure the team backlog is continuously refined, well-prioritized, and ready for development.

- Collaborate with the PO/PM and Scrum Master to drive backlog activities and sprint planning.

Feature Development :

- Drive scoping and definition of complex features.

- Translate business requirements into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Refinement & Grooming :

- Participate in story refinement/grooming and actively contribute to sprint execution.

- Use supporting documentation such as wireframes, mockups, MIGs (Message Implementation Guides), API specs, and field mappings when required.

Subject Matter Expertise :

- Become a domain expert by studying relevant rulebooks, technical documentation, and customer literature.

- Support demo sessions and act as an SME for internal and external stakeholders.

Team Collaboration & Support :

- Support Product Owners/Managers in backlog prioritization based on business and technical value.

- Work closely with Scrum Masters and development teams to ensure sprint goals are met.

- Help deliver effort estimates with the development team.

Essential :

- Experience as business analyst

- Stakeholder management skills

- Can act as Subject Matter Expert.

- Can turn business requirements into epics/features and user stories.

- Agile methods and the role as product owner (e.g. experience as Scrum Product Owner)

Desirable :

- Experience from Payments industry

- Experience with development of transaction-based systems within the financial sector

- Experience with handling releases

- A general understanding of high-performance IT systems

- Agile Tools & Practices : Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.

- Sprint Planning & Execution : Capable of supporting Scrum Masters and Product Owners during sprints.

- Product Ownership Support : Understanding of the Product Owner role and ability to support in roadmap planning and prioritization.
