Job Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Systems Architect with good expertise in AWS cloud services to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure IoT solutions across multiple technical stacks.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading end-to-end software architectures that integrate seamlessly with AWS platforms, mobile applications and a variety of upstream and downstream systems.

Experience on IOT solutions architecture would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain comprehensive IoT architecture frameworks and roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives.

- Design full-stack Software solutions encompassing device connectivity, data ingestion, processing, and analytics, with a primary focus on software architecture (not hardware/PCB).

- Define and uphold standards that ensure security, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability of IoT platforms.

- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and high-performing solutions.

- Liaise with architects across mobile app, Cloud platform, IOT , firmware tech stacks and product teams to align architectural decisions with device capabilities and product requirements.

- Optimize strategies for cloud and edge computing to balance performance with cost efficiency.

- Lead technical evaluations and provide expert guidance on AWS IoT services and architecture.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging IoT technologies to maintain innovation and competitive edge.

- Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to explore and validate new tools, platforms, and frameworks.

- Work cross-functionally to design and align complex architectures that span software systems, ERP, CRM, and cloud integrations, in coordination with domain experts across mobile, AWS and software engineering.

Skills and Qualifications :

Must Have :

- Proven experience as a System Architect or in a similar role, designing and deploying end-to-end software solutions on AWS Cloud.

- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Greengrass, CDK, and Serverless frameworks.

- Solid understanding of Cloud Security and end-to-end software product security, covering web, mobile, and firmware.

- Proficiency in 2 or more programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and C/C++.

- Good grasp of networking fundamentals, including IPv6, LPWAN, and 5G.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills for stakeholder engagement.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving multiple heterogenous systems and AWS Cloud integration, including interfaces with Firmware and ERP/CRM systems (e.g , Salesforce, Oracle Apps, SAP).

- Experience in cloud integration of software systems with mobile and web applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

- Demonstrated interest in continuous innovation through emerging IoT and AWS technologies.

Good to Have :

- Deep expertise in AWS IoT protocols such as MQTT, HTTPS, and Matter.

- Hands-on experience with large-scale OTA deployments.

- Experience with edge computing, firmware integration, and real-time analytics.

- Familiarity with AI/ML integration in IoT solutions.

- Practical exposure to IoT security frameworks and compliance standards.

- Expertise in IOT based device, firmware and software testing as well.

- Good understanding of firmware and devices integrating with cloud software and IOT.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- AWS certifications (e.g Solutions Architect).

- Hand On Experience with AWS cloud platforms a plus along with Solution architecting Experience.

- Familiarity with Serverless Architecture, System Design, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

Experience :

- At least 12 years of experience in Software solution design, with a focus on AWS cloud and system architecture.

- Proven track record in deploying large-scale Cloud solutions.

Communication :

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to present complex technical solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.

- Willing to work across US and EMEA time zones to ensure effective collaboration and alignment on architecture decisions.
