Job Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect with extensive experience (18+ years) in designing and implementing complex application architectures within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise-level application development, integration, and transformation initiatives specifically for banking clients. This leadership role requires deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and strategic vision to guide technology decisions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the development of enterprise-wide application architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps for banking clients, ensuring alignment with overall business and IT objectives.

- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, and development teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient application solutions.

- Drive the modernization of legacy banking applications through cloud adoption, microservices architectures, API-led integrations, and automation frameworks.

- Develop architectural blueprints and documentation for key applications including retail banking, corporate banking, payments, treasury, capital markets, and risk management systems.

- Guide application portfolio rationalization and optimization strategies to improve performance, reduce cost, and enhance maintainability.

- Ensure compliance with banking industry regulations, security standards, and risk management policies within application architectures.

- Mentor and lead technical teams, promoting best practices in software design, coding standards, and agile delivery methodologies.

- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools to keep banking application architectures innovative and future-proof.

- Support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, proposal development, and client technical presentations.

- Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure, data, and security architects to ensure holistic technology alignment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 18 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years focused on enterprise architecture in banking or financial services.

- Proven expertise in designing large-scale banking application architectures including core banking, loan management, payments, trade finance, and digital banking platforms.

- Strong proficiency in cloud-native architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP), microservices, containers, API management, and DevOps pipelines.

- In-depth knowledge of application development frameworks, middleware, integration platforms (ESB, API gateways), and database technologies.

- Experience with regulatory compliance and security frameworks specific to banking (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX).

- Excellent understanding of banking business processes and evolving technology trends such as blockchain, AI/ML in banking apps, and real-time transaction processing.

- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing enterprise architecture teams, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management.

- Exceptional communication skills, both technical and business-oriented, to effectively engage clients and internal teams.

- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, or related credentials preferred.

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
