About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with 15 - 20 years of experience in enterprise architecture, business architecture, and large-scale technology transformation. The ideal candidate should have a strong business-oriented architecture mindset, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business strategy into enterprise architecture roadmaps, capabilities, and transformation plans.
This role is focused on business and enterprise architecture rather than deep hands-on technical architecture. The candidate should be comfortable working across technology domains and engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders to define strategic direction, identify gaps, and drive architecture-led transformation.
Responsibilities :
- Define and evolve enterprise architecture in alignment with business strategy, operating models, value chains, and organizational objectives.
- Develop enterprise architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and target-state architectures covering business capabilities, applications, data, integrations, and technology landscapes.
- Identify and map business capabilities to value chains, strategic objectives, and supporting enterprise systems.
- Conduct current-state and future-state assessments to identify capability, process, application, data, and technology gaps.
- Translate identified gaps into structured architecture roadmaps and transformation plans, with clear priorities, dependencies, milestones, and outcomes.
- Distinguish between tactical and strategic business requirements and determine the appropriate architectural changes needed to address them.
- Work closely with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into actionable architecture initiatives.
- Influence architecture decisions and transformation priorities through strong business understanding, structured analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, solution architects, engineering teams, business analysts, QA, product teams, and business stakeholders across a global organization.
- Provide architecture guidance to major enterprise initiatives and customer-facing applications, integrations, transactional platforms, and large-scale data environments.
- Support architecture governance, standards, principles, decision-making, and investment prioritization across the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including roadmaps, capability maps, blueprints, presentations, architecture diagrams, and executive-level documentation.
- Support Agile/Scrum teams by providing architectural direction, facilitating architecture discussions, and driving appropriate architectural spikes when required.
- Evaluate business and technology dependencies and recommend pragmatic architecture approaches that balance strategic objectives with immediate business needs.
- Contribute to enterprise transformation initiatives involving commercial, manufacturing, healthcare, digital, data, and technology platforms.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies including Generative AI, Machine Learning, analytics, cloud, and modern integration patterns, and assess their relevance to enterprise strategy.
- Provide leadership and architectural direction for major initiatives while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and strategic roadmaps.
Requirements :
- 15 - 20 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Systems Architecture, or related roles.
- Proven experience contributing to or leading enterprise architecture development, capability mapping, architecture roadmaps, and target-state planning.
- Strong understanding of business capabilities, value chains, operating models, strategic planning, and enterprise transformation.
- Demonstrated experience conducting gap assessments and converting business capability gaps into actionable architecture and transformation roadmaps.
- Strong ability to understand business requirements and distinguish between tactical and strategic needs, translating them into appropriate architectural recommendations.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise environments involving transactional systems, data platforms, integrations, and customer-facing applications.
- Experience working within a federated/global Enterprise Architecture organization and collaborating across geographically distributed teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior business and technology leaders and drive consensus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent executive presentation and storytelling capabilities.
- Strong experience creating architecture documentation using tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, or equivalent.
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as LeanIX, HOPEX, Abacus, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications such as Oracle ERP, Salesforce, MES, or similar commercial/manufacturing platforms is advantageous.
- Understanding of enterprise integration technologies and patterns, including API management, event-driven architecture, and connectivity patterns, is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and providing architecture support to delivery teams.
- Exposure to Generative AI, Machine Learning, advanced analytics, and emerging technology trends is desirable.
- Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or provider-sponsored healthcare systems is an advantage.
- TOGAF / Open Group, Solution Architect, or Cloud Architecture certification is preferred.
