Job Role Summary :

IT Infrastructure Architect leverages knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing, storage area networks, virtualization, server hardware, mainframe, operating systems, networking, business applications, and security infrastructure to help document, shape, and direct the technology roadmap for Ensono and its clients. Works directly with senior executives and leadership to identify and address technology gaps, strategic goals, and business imperatives impacted by infrastructure technologies. Suggests new technologies or approaches to achieve business goals. Develops methodologies to integrate technology innovation with existing governance and enterprise architecture processes. Provides fully costed solution architectures to meet client and prospective client requests. Maintains and updates documentation related to organization-wide IT activities and technology roadmaps. Communicates progress and direction through formal presentations, collaborative meetings, and content publishing to mixed audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Brings prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations

- Provides consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates

- Actively contributes to the domain body of knowledge

- Creates and maintains reference architecture for Ensono infrastructure solutions

- Owns infrastructure architecture for one or more client environments and acts as the subject matter expert for the entire datacenter environment

- Works with clients to gather infrastructure solution requirements

- Produces written infrastructure designs that meet or exceed requirements using reference architecture

- Acts as the technical subject matter expert during implementation and ensures adherence to proposed designs

- Provides cost estimates for solution implementation and ongoing production support

- Engages in project communications with clients using a consultative approach, anticipates obstacles, and recommends mitigation options

- Participates as a member of the internal Architecture Review Board for solution proposals

- Ensures infrastructure solution designs meet functional and technical requirements and consistently achieve service level agreements (SLAs)

- Accountable for the accuracy, integrity, quality, and stewardship of client infrastructure solutions

Supervisory Responsibilities :

No direct reports

May mentor less experienced associates in the role

Required :

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 8 years with a Masters degree; or 5 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience
