Designation : VP / AVP Engineering Dashcam & Video telematics

Location : Bangalore

Experience :

14 + years in software/hardware engineering with 5+ years in senior leadership (Director/VP) roles, ideally at scaling startups or hardware-software platforms.

Educational Background : Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or related fields; advanced degrees a bonus.

Role description :

Lead the engineering vision, strategy, and execution for cutting-edge video-telematics products. Candidate will be instrumental in scaling the engineering team, accelerating AI-driven product development, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and growth of our platform across India.

Key Responsibilities :

- Strategic Leadership : Define and steer the engineering roadmap aligned with Company mission to redefine road safety through AI and real-time data.

- Team Building & Mentorship : Recruit, develop, and mentor top-tier engineers across domains (hardware, embedded systems, AI/ML, cloud services, mobile/web), fostering a collaborative culture of excellence.

- Product & Technical Ownership : Lead development of dashcam firmware, connectivity platforms, real-time streaming, DMS, ADAS, and cloud systems. Drive architectural decisions ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance.

- Process Excellence : Establish robust agile delivery frameworks, engineering processes, and KPIs to maintain high delivery velocity and quality.

- Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with Product, Design, Operations, Sales, and Customer Success to align technology with customer needs and business growth.

- Innovation & R&D : Spearhead AI-driven enhancements (driver distraction detection, collision alerts, advanced analytics) to stay ahead in telematics innovation.

- Quality & Compliance : Oversee quality assurance, data security, and compliance, particularly with in-vehicle data privacy and regulatory norms.

- Operational Excellence : Manage engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation efficiently.

Qualifications :

- Technical Expertise : Deep understanding of embedded systems, real-time video streaming, AI/ML integration, cloud infrastructure, and mobile/web applications.

- Fleet Tech or IoT Exposure : Prior experience in telematics, automotive systems or IoT hardware/software systems is a strong plus.

- Leadership Acumen : Proven track record of building engineering teams from early-stage to scale, leading them through rapid growth phases.

- Execution Excellence : Strong bias for action, structured approach to problem solving, and customer-centric delivery focus.

- Communication & Collaboration : Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams.
