About the Role :

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance frontend systems.

- Own and evolve the frontend stack (React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL/REST, Webpack/Vite, CI/CD pipelines).

- Define best practices for code quality, testing (unit, integration, e2e), and performance optimization.

- Set up observability and monitoring for frontend applications (logging, metrics, APM).

Hands-On Development :

- Write production-quality code and perform in-depth code reviews.

- Optimize frontend applications for scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser performance.

- Implement secure and reliable integrations with backend APIs and data pipelines.

Architecture & Scaling :

- Lead architectural discussions on micro-frontends, state management (Redux, Recoil, Zustand), caching strategies, and design systems.

- Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams on end-to-end system design, API contracts, CI/CD, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).

Team Building & Mentorship :

- Recruit, coach, and lead a world-class frontend engineering team.

- Conduct design reviews, tech talks, and pair programming sessions to drive technical excellence.

Strategic Contribution :

- Partner with Product and Design teams to align technical direction with business priorities.

- Drive experimentation with new frontend technologies, frameworks, and performance tooling.

- Establish engineering metrics (code coverage, build time, release frequency, error rates) to measure success.

Requirements

Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years leading engineering teams.

Frontend Expertise :

- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React (hooks, context, suspense, SSR), Next.js.

- Deep knowledge of modern UI frameworks, component libraries, CSS-in-JS, responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1).

- Strong expertise in frontend build systems (Webpack, Vite, Babel, Rollup) and package management (npm, yarn, pnpm).

- Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data streaming.

Architecture & Cloud :

- Proven experience designing scalable frontend architectures, including micro-frontends, design systems, and modular monorepos.

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).

- Knowledge of frontend security practices (XSS, CSRF, CSP, OAuth, JWT, SSO).
