Our client is a Gurugram-based SaaS company that builds an AI-driven knowledge management platform for customer support and CX teams. Founded around 2019, it works with enterprise clients to improve agent productivity, accuracy, and self-service through decision trees, visual guides, and smart search.

Competencies :

- 8 plus years of overall software engineering experience with 5+ years of strong hands-on coding

- Minimum 3 years in leading engineering teams/project leadership, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment

Strong expertise in modern tech stacks :

- Frontend : TypeScript, React / Next.js

- Backend : Node.js / Nest.js

- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL

- Solid experience in AWS or OCI cloud platforms

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies Scrum / Kanban

- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and people leadership skills

- Prior experience as a founder / early startup team member is a strong advantage

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced technologist with a strong engineering foundation, product mindset, and proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams. If you have early-stage startup exposure or love building scalable technology from the ground up, this role offers the perfect platform to create real impact.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide technical leadership, direction, and vision across engineering initiatives

- Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the SaaS platform

- Own engineering roadmaps, define technical strategies, and translate product requirements into execution plans

- Ensure best-in-class code quality through clean coding practices, reviews, testing strategies, and architectural standards

- Build, mentor, coach, and scale a high-performing engineering team; drive strong ownership and leadership within the group

- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders

- Drive excellence in CI/CD practices, cloud architecture, scalability, and performance optimization

- Track delivery status, manage timelines, and proactively mitigate risks

- Foster a culture of innovation, learning, accountability, and engineering excellence

- Own platform stability, uptime, performance, and reliability

- Ensure minimal defects post-release and own client technical success post-implementation

- Build a strong future talent pipeline through robust hiring and internship programs

Must Have Skills :

- 8 plus years of experience in software engineering with 5+ years of strong hands-on development

- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams / projects

- Proven experience working in B2B SaaS / Product-based environment

- Strong expertise in TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js/Nest.js

- Experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL

- Solid experience with AWS or OCI cloud platforms

- Strong understanding of architecture, design principles, scalability & performance

- Hands-on exposure to CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud deployment

- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)

- Excellent people leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills

- Strong technical decision-making, problem-solving, and execution ownership mindset

- Experience ensuring platform reliability, uptime, and technical quality governance

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience in early-stage startup / founding team environments

- Prior experience building SaaS platforms from scratch or scaling products rapidly

- Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems

- Experience with monitoring, observability, logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)

- Knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and data privacy standards

- Experience managing cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and Business teams

- Exposure to performance tuning, cost optimization, and reliability engineering

- Experience in mentoring/creating engineering leadership pipeline

- Strong ability to handle customer interactions and post-implementation technical ownership

- Experience with intern programs, tech branding, or campus hiring initiatives

- Excellent communication, executive stakeholder handling, and strategic thinking abilities
