Job Description

The core responsibilities for the job include the following :


Leadership and Team Management :


- Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans.


- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.


- Drive hiring, onboarding, and retention of top frontend talent.


Technical Strategy and Execution :


- Define the technical vision for the frontend architecture and ensure alignment with business goals.


- Oversee code quality, technical debt management, and adherence to best practices (e. g., accessibility, performance optimization, testing).


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver seamless user experiences.


- Drive adoption of modern frontend technologies and tools (e. g., React, TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL, Webpack, etc. ).


Project Delivery :


- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of key frontend projects.


- Ensure timely delivery without compromising on quality or scalability.


- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to refine requirements and define clear technical roadmaps.


Process and Culture :


- Improve development workflows (CI/CD, code review practices, testing strategies).


- Advocate for user experience excellence and design consistency across products.


- Champion diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety within the engineering team.


Requirements :


- 8+ years of experience in frontend development with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).


- 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams.


- Strong understanding of web fundamentals: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs.


- Proven experience building scalable, maintainable, and performant web applications.


- Excellent communication and leadership skills.


Preferred :


- Experience with SSR frameworks (Next.js, Remix, Nuxt).


- Knowledge of design systems and component-driven architecture.


- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).


- Background in Agile or Lean software development practices.


- Passion for mentoring and building inclusive engineering cultures.
