Position : Engineering Manager - Platforms

Job Overview

Lead the Platforms Team to design, build, and deliver next-generation tools and technologies that ensure 24/7 availability, reliability, and performance of critical user-facing and production systems. Drive automation, architecture improvements, and capacity planning to support large-scale distributed systems and continuous operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the Platforms Team roadmap and manage engineering execution from concept to delivery.

- Plan, execute, and deploy releases for production and non-production environments ensuring zero downtime.

- Provide technology leadership and mentor high-performing engineering teams.

- Collaborate with software engineers to maintain reliability, availability, and performance of services.

- Automate processes to stabilize production and prevent recurring issues.

- Influence architecture, design, and standards for large-scale distributed systems.

- Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning.

- Foster a culture of blameless postmortems and proactive outage prevention.

- Advocate for automation best practices and continuous process improvement.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Proven experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of Agile development and cloud environments, preferably AWS.

- Experience in managing engineering teams and delivering complex software systems.

- Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and container technologies.

- Bonus : Skills in Linux, networking, cloud administration, and microservices architecture.

- Strong problem-solving skills with accountability and initiative.
