Engineering Manager - PHP/Vue.js

Description :

We're looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager who can lead by example, driving technical excellence, mentoring a high-performing engineering team, and staying hands-on with development.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable spending at least 40% of their time coding in PHP and Vue.js while managing people, delivery, and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers across multiple projects.

- Contribute actively to coding, code reviews, and architecture design (PHP, Vue.js ).

- Define technical roadmaps, ensure timely delivery, and uphold code quality.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.

- Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment across teams.

- Hire, onboard, and develop engineering talent to build a high-performance culture.

- Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability at scale.

- Balance hands-on technical work with leadership and project oversight.

Requirements :

- 12+ years of total experience in software engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong expertise in PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks) and Vue.js .

- Proven experience in building and scaling web applications.

- Ability to stay hands-on at least 40% of the time, writing or reviewing code.

- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

- Strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and guide teams.

- Experience working in product-based or fast-paced startup environments is a plus.
