Role Overview :
We are looking for a strong Engineering Manager / Engineering Lead who can balance people management and hands-on technical contribution. This role requires leading teams end-to-end while remaining involved in architecture, code reviews, and critical technical decisions.
Key Requirements :
Experience :
- 8+ years of overall experience in Software Engineering / Development
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead, with ownership of :
1. Technical direction
2. Delivery and execution
3. People management
Technical Skills :
- Strong backend development experience using Python or Java
- Frameworks: FastAPI, Django, Spring, Express (Node.js)
Frontend exposure with : ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Proven experience in :
1. Designing and building APIs, services, and system integrations
2. System design and architecture
3. PR reviews and architectural decision-making
Leadership & Team Management :
Experience leading engineers end-to-end, including :
- Mentoring and coaching
- Code reviews
- Execution planning
- Improving team productivity and code quality
Company Background :
- Must have worked in Product-based companies or Startups (early to growth stage)
- B2B SaaS experience is mandatory
- Fintech experience is highly preferred
Role Split :
- 80% Team Management
- 20% Individual Contributor (hands-on coding required)
