Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with a strong background in Java, Microservices Architecture, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead multiple engineering teams and deliver scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with people leadership, driving engineering excellence, architecture decisions, cloud adoption, and agile delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor software engineering teams delivering enterprise-grade applications.

- Drive architecture and design discussions for cloud-native applications.

- Build scalable and resilient Microservices-based solutions.

- Partner with Product, Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.

- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality metrics.

- Drive Agile/Scrum execution and ensure predictable delivery.

- Champion cloud modernization initiatives using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Manage technical roadmaps, resource planning, and engineering execution.

- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development for team members.

- Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Technical Skills Required :

Must Have :

- Strong experience in Java development.

- Expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.

- Experience leading engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.

- Knowledge of Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Datadog.

- Exposure to eCommerce, Supply Chain, Distribution, or Retail domains.

- Experience managing globally distributed teams.
