Engineering Manager - Full Stack Development

Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of engineers (SDE 2s and SDE 3s), driving technical excellence and high-quality delivery.

- Own end-to-end design and development of scalable, distributed systems.

- Drive architectural decisions with a strong focus on distributed architecture and system scalability.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and reliability.

- Drive performance optimization initiatives and continuously improve system efficiency.

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.

- Champion best practices across microservices, API design, and cloud-native architectures.

- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the engineering team.

Requirements :

- 7 to 9 years of experience in software engineering with strong backend or full-stack development expertise.

- Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams (SDE 2s and SDE 3s).

- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.

- Hands-on experience with distributed systems and scalable architecture.

- Strong experience with modern tech stacks, including Java, Python, React Native, TypeScript, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, MySQL, and AWS.

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud-native systems.

- Experience in building and scaling high-performance systems with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

- Experience with modern development practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and observability.

- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.

Good to Have :

- Experience working in e-commerce or consumer internet platforms.

- Exposure to high-scale systems handling large volumes of traffic and transactions.

- Strong experience in scalability engineering and performance optimization.

- Prior experience owning large modules or platforms end-to-end.
