The Position :

About the Role :

They are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with 12+ years of software development experience, including 3-5 years in engineering leadership, to lead high-performing engineering teams and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS products.

You will partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, Designers, and Engineering leaders to execute against product roadmaps, improve engineering effectiveness, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

This role requires a strong technical foundation in Python, React, cloud-native technologies, and modern software architecture principles. You will provide technical leadership, facilitate technical discussions, guide engineering decisions, and help teams build scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.

You will play a critical role in balancing business priorities, customer needs, technical investments, and team development. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, operational excellence, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and grow high-performing engineering teams.

You will independently own team execution, delivery outcomes, engineering excellence, and employee development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5+ software engineers.

- Drive the delivery of multiple engineering projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and timely execution.

- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Designers, and stakeholders to define technical strategy and project priorities.

- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and Agile execution.

- Champion engineering best practices, including code quality, automated testing, security, CI/CD, and observability.

- Balance new feature development, technical debt, platform improvements, and operational support.

- Ensure engineering decisions align with business goals and customer needs.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 12+ years of software development experience with 3-5 years in an Engineering Manager role.

- Strong hands-on experience with Python and React and/or Angular.

- Experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS applications, APIs, and microservices.

- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native development.

- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.

- Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch).

- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.

- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Terraform, Data bricks, Big Query, Data Lakes, event-driven architecture, and serverless technologies.

- Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams.

- Background in SaaS, Utility, Energy, or Sustainability domains.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
