About the Role :
We are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager who loves coding and leading from the front. The ideal candidate is not just a people manager but also an active hands-on developer who thrives on solving technical challenges, writing clean code, and mentoring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8 to 10 software engineers focused on building scalable and high-performing web applications.
- Stay hands-on with coding primarily in React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery : from planning and architecture to deployment and performance optimization.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
- Conduct code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and foster a culture of clean, maintainable code.
- Contribute to backend discussions and integration (basic familiarity with Node.js or similar backend technologies is a plus).
- Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements :
- 8+ years of overall experience in software development, with a strong foundation in frontend technologies.
- Proven team management experience (8 to 10 engineers).
- Strong hands-on skills in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Exposure to backend systems (Node.js, APIs, or microservices preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, architectural, and communication skills.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to balance coding and leadership.
Nice-to-Have :
- Experience in performance optimization and front-end architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Contributions to open-source projects or tech communities.
