About the Role :
We are seeking a visionary Engineering Manager to lead our Data Platform & AI team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the architectural vision, development, and scaling of our core data infrastructure and AI integration layers. You will mentor a high-performing team of engineers to build robust data pipelines and scalable AI platforms that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Mentorship : Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data and AI engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Platform Strategy : Define the roadmap for a unified Data & AI platform, ensuring it supports high-volume data processing and seamless model deployment.
- Architectural Oversight : Oversee the design of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and feature stores to support both analytical and generative AI workloads.
- AI/ML Operations (MLOps) : Drive the implementation of MLOps practices to automate the training, deployment, and monitoring of AI models at scale.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Executives to align technical initiatives with overarching business goals.
- Operational Excellence : Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of the data platform while optimizing infrastructure costs.
Requirements :
- Experience : 10+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, with at least 2 years in a formal people management or lead role.
- Technical Stack : Expertise in Big Data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka) and Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- AI Proficiency : Deep understanding of AI infrastructure, including experience with LLM orchestration (LangChain/LlamaIndex) and vector databases.
- Cloud Expertise : Proven track record of managing large-scale data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Management Skills : Strong experience in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and performance management.
- Education : B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field from a Tier 1/2 institute.
