Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role for an Engineering Manager based in Ahmedabad. The Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering team, provide leadership, and guide software development processes.

Responsibilities include managing projects, ensuring efficient team collaboration, integrating software systems, and ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide strong leadership to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivery excellence

- Manage and mentor team leads and engineers across Frontend, Backend, Full-Stack, DevOps, and Mobile Application teams

- Maintain a strong technical understanding of systems, architectures, and development practices to guide teams through complex technical challenges

- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

- Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, cost, and quality standards

- Drive adoption of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern engineering best practices

- Lead and contribute to AI/ML initiatives, microservices architecture, and scalable cloud-based solutions

- Establish and maintain quality assurance and control processes to deliver high-quality, bug-free software

- Identify technical and delivery risks early and proactively implement mitigation strategies

- Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development of engineering talent

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning

- Lead research and development initiatives focused on new technologies, tools, and processes

- Prepare and deliver clear presentations to non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts effectively

Required Experience & Skills :

- 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering management

- Proven experience working exclusively with IT services / consulting companies (not product-based organizations)

- Strong track record of leading and managing engineering teams and team leads

- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and modern engineering practices

- Experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple technology stacks

- Solid exposure to AI/ML projects, microservices architecture, and cloud-native solutions

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making

- Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Requirements :

- Prior use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative frameworks and tools

- Proven supervisory, leadership, and technical capabilities

- Strong data analysis and decision-making skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced services environment

- Proficiency in presentation tools to communicate effectively with senior management and clients
