Role Overview :

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and scale our engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across complex distributed systems and modern cloud technologies, combined with proven experience in building and managing high-performing development teams from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a Bangalore-based engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration.

- Build the team from scratchhiring, onboarding, and establishing best practices for development and delivery.

- Drive execution across projects spanning platform engineering, system integrations, and product feature development.

- Provide hands-on technical guidance on :

- Systems : Linux, hypervisors, Kubernetes, Ansible automation

- Languages/Tools : Golang, C/C++, Python, React, build systems (make, git, CI/CD pipelines)

- Collaborate closely with global product and architecture teams to define priorities, align roadmaps, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

- Balance people leadership with technical involvementearning the respect of the team while guiding productivity and results.

- Establish strong engineering processes, including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and scalable infrastructure practices.

Requirements

- 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 35 years in team leadership/management.

- Strong understanding of complex systems architecture, distributed platforms, and cloud-native technologies.

- Proficiency in Golang, C/C++, Python, React, and build systems.

- Experience with Kubernetes, hypervisors, Linux internals, and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible).

- Proven track record of setting up and scaling engineering teams in Indiafrom hiring to delivering products.

- Excellent people management and communication skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and drive results.

- Hands-on problem solver who balances technical depth with organizational leadership.
