Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to drive end-to-end architecture, system design, development, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in distributed systems, large-scale data processing, cloud infrastructure, and engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

- Lead end-to-end architecture, system design, and development of scalable enterprise platforms.

- Define technical solutions and drive architecture and design decisions.

- Translate business and product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

- Drive engineering best practices around performance, reliability, scalability, and observability.

- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews.

- Mentor engineers and establish strong engineering practices.

Large-Scale Data Engineering & Processing :

- Design and develop systems capable of handling large volumes of data.

- Drive high-volume data processing and streaming architectures.

- Work with Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, and Big Data platforms.

- Design efficient data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval mechanisms.

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure :

- Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

- Work with cloud services covering compute, storage, databases, networking, messaging, monitoring, and auto-scaling.

- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Software Development & Engineering :

- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.

- Design and develop microservices-based applications.

- Work with Kafka and other messaging and streaming technologies.

- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability.

Performance & Cost Optimization :

- Identify and implement cost optimization strategies across cloud infrastructure and applications.

- Optimize database performance, resource utilization, and application efficiency.

Release & Deployment Management :

- Drive release planning and coordination across development, staging, and production environments.

- Manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes.

Team Leadership & Collaboration :

- Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams.

- Provide technical direction and guidance to engineers and technical leads.

- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.

- Participate in technical hiring and team development.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in end-to-end architecture, system design, and distributed systems.

- Polyglot technology experience - Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, or similar.

- Experience handling large-scale data, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, and Big Data platforms.

- Technical exposure to Kafka, Apache Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture.

- Strong cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

- Strong understanding of performance engineering, scalability, and cost optimization.

- Proven experience in technical leadership and team management.
