Engineering Lead - Data Platform

As the Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering strategy, building high-performance data platforms, and leading architecture and execution for complex data-driven products. You will collaborate with clients, product owners, and internal teams to deliver scalable and resilient data engineering solutions that drive value and insights.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Expertise :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with at least 2+ years in a lead/architect role.

- Strong experience with big data technologies : Databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Flink.

- Proven expertise in at least one cloud platform : AWS and/or Azure.

- Deep understanding of data governance, metadata management, data lifecycle, and security protocols.

- Experience building and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming pipelines (Kafka/Flink/Spark Streaming).

- Strong programming background in Python, Scala, or Java.

Architectural Know-How :

- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture for scalable, fault-tolerant systems.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and version control (Git).

- Exposure to data quality frameworks, observability, and cost-optimized architecture patterns.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

- Ability to influence and align diverse technical and business teams.

- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Good to Have :

- Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer).

- Experience working in the retail analytics domain.

- Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

- Exposure to ML engineering or MLOps practices.
