Job Description :
We are looking for a seasoned Director of Engineering .NET to lead engineering strategy, architecture, and large-scale product delivery for mission-critical distributed systems.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience building enterprise platforms, managing multiple engineering teams, and driving technology transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define the engineering vision, technology roadmap, and architecture strategy for enterprise .NET platforms.
- Lead multiple engineering teams delivering large-scale distributed applications and cloud-native solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions for highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
- Partner with Product, Business, and Executive Leadership to align technology investments with business objectives.
- Establish engineering standards, governance, SDLC processes, and DevOps best practices.
- Drive modernization initiatives including cloud migration, microservices adoption, and platform transformation.
- Oversee engineering delivery, budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management.
- Build and mentor engineering leaders while fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
- Ensure operational excellence through performance monitoring, reliability engineering, and security best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation across engineering teams.
Required Skills :
- 15-20 years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years leading engineering managers or multiple development teams.
- Deep expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET, distributed systems, and enterprise architecture.
- Strong experience designing cloud-native, event-driven, and microservices-based platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, distributed computing, and scalability.
- Proven experience managing large engineering organizations and enterprise transformation programs.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
Education (Mandatory) :
- Full-time B.E./B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, MS, or M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
