Role : Senior Software Engineer ETL Developer with Talend, Java & PostgreSQL

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop end to end data processing workflows using Java based frameworks and enterprise data integration patterns.

- Implement complex business logic using Java ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

- Optimize data pipelines using parallel processing, batching, indexing strategies, and partitioning techniques.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and transformation logic in PostgreSQL.

- Work extensively with dimensional data models fact and dimension tables, star schema design.

- Implement Slowly Changing Dimensions, SCD Type 0, Type 1, Type 2 with historization, surrogate keys, and effective expiry date handling.

- Build robust logging, monitoring, exception handling, and audit frameworks within data processing applications.

- Develop and manage message driven architectures using RabbitMQ for asynchronous and real time data processing.

- Design and implement event driven and distributed data systems using messaging queues.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimations, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives.

- Provide production support, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance enhancements.

- Analyze data patterns and client data models to build scalable, reusable, and consistent solutions.

- Interpret business requirements and design optimal data processing and integration solutions.

Technical Skills :

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Java based backend development.

- Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development.

- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL SQL including indexing strategies, query tuning, execution plans, and performance analysis.

- Experience with advanced SQL constructs such as window functions, nested queries, joins, and aggregations.

- Strong hands on experience in Java development, collections, concurrency, streams, JDBC, etc.

- Recent experience relevant to working with Java based data structures.

- Experience building data processing frameworks or pipelines using Java.

- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, star schema design.

- Hands on experience implementing SCD Type 0, Type 1, and Type 2.

- Strong experience in debugging, logging, and exception handling in distributed systems.

- Experience working with JSON processing and transformation in Java, e.g., Jackson, Gson.

- Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ or similar technologies.

- Ability to independently design and deliver end to end components in an Agile environment.

- Experience with version control systems, e.g., TFS, Git for collaboration and code management.

- Strong analytical mindset with ability to troubleshoot data and performance issues.

- Experience in Agile Scrum practice.

- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualification :

- Experience : B.E, B.Tech from IT Computers stream or any stream.

- 6 to 9 years experience as a Java developer, Architect in ETL technology.
