Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Operational Business Analyst to support the design, development, and delivery of operational reporting solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The role focuses on bridging business requirements with technical reporting solutions, ensuring high-quality operational insights across supply chain, finance, and procurement domains. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, reporting teams, and QA to deliver accurate, scalable, and actionable operational reports using D365 Operational Reporting, Power BI, and Data Lake.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize operational reporting requirements.
- Manage and prioritize the backlog of Operational Reports, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Refine business requirements and user stories, including defining clear acceptance criteria.
- Maintain Azure DevOps work items, ensuring accurate status tracking, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Author Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for D365 extensions required to support operational reporting.
- Design and develop Power BI reports using D365 data entities and/or Data Lake tables.
- Leverage D365 Operational Reporting tools, including list views and SSRS reports, where applicable.
- Contribute to QA test plans, execute testing activities, and validate reporting outputs.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
- Support bug triage, defect analysis, and resolution during testing and post-deployment.
- Act as a liaison between functional teams, technical teams, and reporting developers to ensure accurate delivery of reporting solutions.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Strong functional and data-level expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
- In-depth understanding of D365 data tables related to :
1. Supply Chain Management
2. Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)
4. Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Hands-on experience with :
1. D365 Operational Reporting, including list views and SSRS reports
2. Power BI report development using D365 data entities
- Strong knowledge of D365 data models, entities, and reporting structures.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories, and tracking delivery.
- Ability to facilitate requirement workshops and stakeholder discussions around operational reporting needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience developing reports using D365 Data Lake or Azure Synapse.
- Familiarity with D365 extensions and customization concepts.
- Prior experience working in enterprise ERP reporting or transformation programs.
- Exposure to Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies.
