Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant with strong SAP MM secondary skills to lead the SD workstream in a Finance Carve-out project. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in SAP SD configuration, integration, and data migration, with prior exposure to carve-out, divestiture, or system separation projects. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to manage critical cutover and data migration activities in a complex multi-system environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Workstream Leadership :

- Act as SD workstream lead for the carve-out project.

- Drive requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design for Order-to-Cash processes.

- Coordinate with project management, business teams, and other SAP workstreams (MM, FI/CO, Basis, Integration) to ensure alignment.

2. Functional Design & Configuration :

- Perform end-to-end SAP SD configuration including :

- Sales documents (inquiry, quotation, sales order)

- Delivery processing & shipping

- Pricing procedures & condition techniques

- Billing & invoice processing

- Credit management

- Configure MM functionalities relevant to SD integration (purchasing, goods receipt, stock transfer).

- Ensure integration touchpoints with FI/CO, MM, and tax engines are properly configured and tested.

3. Carve-out / Divestiture Expertise :

- Apply carve-out best practices to separate sales, delivery, and billing processes from the existing SAP landscape.

- Support company code separation, master data split, and transactional data isolation.

- Collaborate with Basis and cutover teams to define system separation strategies.

4. Data Migration & Cutover :

- Define data migration scope for SD and MM objects (customer master, material master, pricing conditions, open sales orders, deliveries, billing documents).

- Prepare LSMW, BAPIs, or migration cockpit templates for data loads.

- Perform mock runs, reconciliation, and validation of migrated data.

- Lead cutover planning for SD/MM objects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during go-live.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Prepare functional specifications (RICEFW) and work with ABAP team for developments.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.

- Ensure test coverage for carve-out specific scenarios, intercompany sales, and tax compliance.

6. Stakeholder & Communication Management :

- Engage with business stakeholders for requirements validation and solution sign-off.

- Provide status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolutions to the project leadership.

- Conduct end-user training and create process documentation.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of SAP SD experience with deep configuration knowledge.

- Strong SAP MM secondary skillset, including purchasing and inventory processes.

- Expertise in Order-to-Cash, pricing, billing, delivery processing, and credit management.

- Integration experience with MM and FI/CO.

- Proven experience in carve-out, divestiture, or system separation projects.

- Strong data migration and cutover planning skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA (Sales and Distribution & MM).

- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.

- Experience in intercompany sales and tax process configurations.

- Knowledge of LSMW, BAPI, SAP Data Services, or Migration Cockpit.

Key Deliverables :

- Functional design documents for SD/MM carve-out processes.

- Fully configured SD/MM system for separated entity.

- Successful completion of data migration cycles with reconciliation.

- Cutover plan and execution for go-live.

- User training materials and post-go-live support documentation.
