About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Apps DBA Tools Lead to oversee the administration, optimization, automation, and tooling strategy for our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments. In this role, you will lead initiatives to modernize DBA operations, implement scalable automation frameworks, enhance system reliability, and ensure high availability of mission-critical applications and databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Applications, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps to deliver high-performing and integrated database solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage Oracle Apps DBA operations, ensuring stability, performance, and security of Oracle EBS R12 environments.
- Design and implement tools for automation, monitoring, patching, and performance optimization across application and database layers.
- Oversee installation, upgrades, cloning, patching, and migration activities for Oracle Applications and Oracle Databases (11g/12c/19c).
- Drive development of scripts, dashboards, and utilities using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Ensure robust backup, recovery, DR strategies, and compliance with organizational security standards.
- Collaborate with application owners to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and enhance system functionality.
- Lead performance tuning efforts for both database and application tiers.
- Manage integrations with Oracle middleware, OID/OAM, WebLogic, Concurrent Managers, and workflow components.
- Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, and reusable automation libraries.
- Mentor junior DBAs and guide the team on best practices and new Oracle features.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-10 years of Oracle Apps DBA experience, with expertise in Oracle EBS R12.
- Strong skills in Oracle Database Administration, RAC, ASM, OEM, and WebLogic Server.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
- Deep knowledge of performance tuning, backup/recovery (RMAN), and high availability solutions.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership abilities.
