Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Developer - ECU to join our dynamic team in Hosur, Tamil Nadu/Karnataka. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and debugging embedded software for Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in automotive applications.
You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, system architects, and validation teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and efficient software solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the performance, safety, and innovation of our automotive products, impacting the driving experience for millions of users.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement embedded software solutions for automotive ECUs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Design, code, and test software modules in C and C++ to meet specified functional and performance requirements.
- Integrate and validate software components on target hardware, utilizing real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Perform thorough debugging and troubleshooting of software issues, employing CAN communication protocols and debugging tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, develop test plans, and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain and improve existing software codebases, implementing enhancements and bug fixes as needed.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of software documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated proficiency in C and C++ programming languages for embedded systems development.
- Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures and embedded software development principles.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their application in automotive ECUs.
- Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software issues using debugging tools and techniques.
- Solid knowledge of CAN communication protocols and automotive communication standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
