Job Role : Embedded Software Engineer Automotive

Experience : 10 to 15 Years

Location : Chennai

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer Automotive to join our team. The candidate will work on Infotainment, Clusters, HPCs, and Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) systems, driving embedded software architecture, development, and delivery in a cross-functional automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities :


- Define, design, and implement embedded software architecture for automotive systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Lead board bring-up and hardware-software integration for new automotive platforms.

- Develop, review, and optimize C/C++ code, device drivers, and Linux BSP applications.

- Mentor and guide embedded software engineers, providing technical leadership, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

- Ensure compliance with automotive standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434.

- Collaborate closely with Hardware, QA, AI/ML, Cloud, and Product Management teams to deliver fully integrated automotive solutions.

- Participate in project planning, scheduling, task allocation, risk mitigation, and tracking technical execution to meet delivery timelines.

- Work on innovative SDV solutions, supporting software-defined and connected vehicle initiatives.

- Contribute to new product development, including prototyping, validation, and production software delivery.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in Embedded Software Development

- Expertise in BSP & Board Bring-up

- Proficiency in Linux BSP & Device Drivers

- Strong C / C++ programming skills

- Hands-on experience in Automotive Product Development (Infotainment, Clusters, HPCs)

- In-depth knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434

- Proven experience in team leadership and project delivery

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with QNX-based systems

- Knowledge of Autosar Classic & Adaptive

- Expertise in Camera Bring-up and SDV solutions

- Hands-on experience with Qualcomm, NXP, TI chipsets

- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML and Cloud platforms
