Role Description :
Manager - Application Development Support will be responsible for leading application development team (BSP/Driver - RTOS, Linux & Windows; Application Development for Electro-Mechanical Systems) to undertake Device Drivers, BSP Development, Application Development, Software Integration & Customer application support. Understand Customer needs / requirements and provide system solutions & software integration as per customer satisfaction.
Overall Ensure that various standards and compliances are adhered to. Implement and manage continuous improvement principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
Desired Experience :
Minimum 10+ years of work experience with :
- 5 - 6 years of directly carrying out Drivers & BSP development on Linux & Windows.
- Strong programming knowledge of RTOS like VxWorks, QNX, LynxOS, Real-Time Linux etc.
- 4 - 5 years of application development of Integrated Electro-Mechanical systems which includes embedded boards, I/O boards and software.
- Experience of testing and debugging
- Should have led a team of development engineers for minimum 4 - 5 years
- Should have strong knowledge of Windows & Linux operating system.
- Strong Technical Knowledge, Excellent Communication skills, Ability to be flexible and proactive
- Experience improving and developing the knowledge & skills of others
- Should be willing to travel across India.
Additional Skills / experience (Not essential, but will be an added advantage) :
- Knowledge on Embedded boards on VPX, cPCI, VME, PCIe etc.. .
- 3 - 4 years of handling I/O boards like ADC, DAC, DIO, 1553, GPU etc.
- Understanding of various MIL Standards applicable for Defence & Aerospace applications.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage application & software development team to provide first class solutions to Trident Corporate Customers
- Hands-on with driver & BSP development requirements of systems and also creating software architectures for systems needs.
- Set clear objectives, evaluate progress and instill a high-performance culture with focus on teamwork, service excellence and ownership for resolving customer issues
- Set-up, manage and improve standards and procedures within the team
- Ensure working practices are well defined and operational with minimal disruption using technology to improve efficiency as appropriate
- Manage the team and individual performance, technical and skills development
- Encourage open communication between team members, suggesting and driving forward ideas about how the team can work more effectively together
- Review daily priorities and take appropriate action to ensure results are achieved
- Remain aware of new product developments in the area of embedded COTS hardware & software. And providing input and tactical direction to the business on customer service and support challenges
- Liaison with the internal functions including sales, product management, engineering, manufacturing, provisioning and other service functions
- Ensure high quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all service arrangements
- Ensure test labs are maintained to agreed standards and all relevant testing is documented Provide input into the company service strategy
