Job Role : Embedded Linux Engineer Power Management

Work Experience : 8+ Years

Job Location : Bangalore

We're hiring Embedded Linux Engineer with strong expertise in Linux kernel development and power management for ARM-based platforms.

This role focuses on designing and optimizing power-efficient embedded systems, working across kernel subsystems, device drivers, and hardware interaction layers to achieve optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop embedded software for Linux-based systems on ARM SoCs

- Work on Linux kernel subsystems related to power and performance optimization

- Implement and optimize power management features such as DVFS, low power states, and system suspend/resume

- Develop and maintain device drivers, including power-related components

- Work with PMIC and regulator frameworks for voltage and power control

- Analyze and improve system power consumption and thermal behavior

- Debug complex issues related to boot, power sequencing, and hardware interaction

- Collaborate with hardware teams during board bring-up and BSP development

- Work on Device Tree configuration for power domains and peripherals

- Perform system-level debugging and performance tuning

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in Embedded Linux / system software development

- Strong expertise in Embedded C and Linux kernel development

- Good understanding of Linux power management concepts

- Experience with device driver development and debugging

- Hands-on experience with ARM-based SoCs

- Experience in BSP development and board bring-up

- Familiarity with Device Tree and hardware interfacing

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience with DVFS, PMIC, or regulator frameworks

- Exposure to CPUFreq, CPUIdle, or runtime power management

- Experience with low power modes (suspend/resume, idle states)

- Knowledge of ARM Trusted Firmware (ATF)

- Experience in thermal management and performance optimization

- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG)
