Embedded Automation Tester

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for embedded systems while collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop automation frameworks for embedded systems testing (functional, regression, performance).

- Integrate automated testing with DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) to enable continuous validation.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure test coverage and smooth release cycles.

- Analyze test results, log defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.

- Develop test strategies, plans, and reports for embedded systems.

- Ensure compliance with coding and testing standards across automation projects.

- Drive improvements in test automation efficiency, coverage, and reliability.

- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues in embedded environments.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in Embedded Systems Testing (firmware, device drivers, board-level testing).

- Proficiency with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, Docker, Kubernetes (added advantage).

- Experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing.

- Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).

- Strong debugging skills with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or similar hardware debugging tools.

- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile/Scrum).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Linux/RTOS-based embedded platforms.

- Knowledge of cloud-based CI/CD infrastructure.

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Perl, etc.).
