Eligarf Technologies - Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Java, REST Assured for API testing, and Appium for mobile testing.

- Design and implement automation frameworks for API, backend, and mobile application testing.

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify test scenarios.

- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).

- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing for APIs and mobile applications.

- Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects using tracking tools like JIRA.

- Ensure API contracts adhere to standards using tools like Postman, Swagger, and OpenAPI.

- Implement mocking and stubbing strategies for API testing.

- Automate mobile testing for Android and iOS applications using Appium.

- Collaborate in Agile environments using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience in automation testing.

- Strong proficiency in Java (8+), REST Assured, and Appium.

- Experience in API testing, request validation, and response verification.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).

- Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub/GitLab.

- Knowledge of database testing using SQL or NoSQL databases.

- Strong understanding of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth, etc.).

- Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium for Android and iOS.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have :

- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.

- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

- Understanding of security testing concepts like OWASP API Security.

- Experience with Selenium (Optional).
