Role Overview :

Mid-Level Quality Engineer Selenium / Rest Assured (Java, TestNG)

Reports To : Team Lead / Principal Software Engineer.

As a Mid-Level Quality Engineer, you will ensure high-quality delivery of Elemicas digital supply chain products by executing both manual and automated testing of new and existing product functionalities. You will play a critical role in maintaining performance, stability, and scalability across multiple integrated systems working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

What Youll Do :

Responsibilities & Objectives :

- Collaborate with product and development teams to plan, design, and review code, and define test scenarios.

- Execute functional, regression, and integration testing in a Scrum or Kanban environment.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, and Rest Assured.

- Create, manage, and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts derived from system requirements.

- Maintain test ware and ensure reusability for regression tests using JIRA/XRAY.

- Report test progress, defects, and impediments in JIRA.

- Support internal teams during issue resolution and troubleshooting.

- Increase test coverage through framework extensions or new automation architecture design.

- Monitor and act on test automation results in CI/CD pipelines.

- Participate in continuous integration and deployment automation strategies.

- Perform UI, API, and performance testing as needed.

- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance test efficiency and reliability.

- Manage and maintain test environments.

What Youll Need :

Required Skills & Experience :

- 46 years of QA experience in web application and API automation.

- Strong proficiency in Java (17+) and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.

- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Rest Assured, and TestNG frameworks.

- Strong understanding of Page Object Model and Test Pyramid principles.

- Experience with Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, XRAY (or similar).

- Familiarity with Git for version control.

- Experience in continuous integration environments.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- ISTQB or equivalent certification.

- Basic SQL knowledge and ability to query relational databases.

- Familiarity with Maven, GitHub Actions, Eclipse IDE, or IntelliJ IDEA.

- Ability to analyze logs and identify root causes in complex systems.
