Elanco - Principal Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and AI initiatives.

This role requires deep expertise in machine learning, statistics, and MMX methodologies with proficiency in Python/R.

You will drive innovation, mentor teams, and deliver impactful business insights through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects from ideation to deployment.

- Design and implement machine learning, AI, and statistical models to solve business problems.

- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to define use cases and success criteria.

- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering.

- Develop and validate predictive models using Python or R.

- Implement MMX methodologies for marketing and business optimization.

- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts.

- Communicate complex findings to senior stakeholders through visualizations and storytelling.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven expertise in data science, ML algorithms, and statistical modeling.

- Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow.

- Strong understanding of MMX methodologies and their business applications.

- Experience in big data platforms and handling large-scale datasets.

- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with cloud AI platforms (Azure ML, AWS Sagemaker, GCP AI Platform).

- Experience in deep learning, NLP, or computer vision.

- Publication track record or conference participation in AI/ML
