We are looking for a skilled and proactive EKS Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable Kubernetes platforms on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Amazon EKS, Kubernetes administration, cloud infrastructure automation, and containerized application deployment.

You will work closely with DevOps, Cloud, Security, and Development teams to build secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS

- Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure container platforms

- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation

- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications

- Implement security best practices, governance, and compliance controls across Kubernetes environments

- Monitor cluster health, performance, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and related tools

- Configure and manage networking components including VPCs, Load Balancers, Ingress Controllers, and service mesh integrations

- Optimize infrastructure cost, resource utilization, and application performance

- Troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, networking issues, container runtime problems, and application deployment failures

- Collaborate with development and platform teams to enable cloud-native application adoption

- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, backup, and disaster recovery planning

- Implement logging and monitoring solutions for operational visibility

- Support production environments with reliability and operational excellence practices

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS

- Good understanding of AWS services such as :


- EC2

- IAM

- VPC

- Route 53

- ELB/ALB/NLB

- CloudWatch

- ECR

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)

- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana

- Understanding of Kubernetes networking, ingress, DNS, and security concepts

- Familiarity with Helm charts and Kubernetes package management

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Experience working in Linux-based environments

- Knowledge of security best practices for Kubernetes and cloud platforms

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications such as CKA/CKAD)

- Experience with GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD

- Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd

- Experience with multi-cluster or hybrid cloud Kubernetes environments

- Familiarity with security tools such as Falco, Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, or Aqua Security
