Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Python Lead with 10 - 15 years of backend engineering experience to lead technical initiatives, guide engineering teams, and drive the design and development of scalable backend systems.

The role will involve owning core microservices architecture, enterprise APIs, and data pipeline ecosystems, while providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring engineering best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

- Lead backend engineering teams and provide technical direction across projects.

- Define and drive scalable, reliable, and maintainable system architectures.

- Conduct architectural and code reviews and establish engineering best practices.

- Provide technical governance and mentor senior engineers.

- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Data, Security, and other cross-functional teams.

- Drive Agile engineering initiatives and ensure timely delivery of technical solutions.

Backend & API Development :

- Design and develop high-performance backend applications and microservices using Python, Django, and FastAPI.

- Build scalable, asynchronous, and fault-tolerant services capable of handling high-volume workloads.

- Design and manage enterprise-grade APIs and integrations.

- Drive API performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Database & Data Engineering :

- Design and optimize complex relational database structures using PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- Develop complex SQL queries and perform query optimization.

- Design efficient data models and ensure data integrity.

- Build and manage data pipelines and workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.

Security, DevOps & Operations :

- Implement secure API architectures using OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and RBAC.

- Work closely with DevOps teams on CI/CD, containerization, and deployment practices.

- Ensure applications are designed for cloud-native environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability practices.

- Identify and address performance, security, and reliability issues across systems.
