Job Title : API Testing Engineer

Experience : 68 years

Contract Duration : 612 months (with possible extensions)

Location : Preferred Onsite (Bengaluru) / Open to Remote

Working Hours : 12 : 00 PM IST 10 : 00 PM IST

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

- Design, develop, and execute API test cases (manual and automation) to ensure robust functionality.

- Validate API specifications using tools such as Swagger and Postman.

- Build and maintain automated API test frameworks using RestSharp, Playwright, or similar tools.

- Perform end-to-end testing across API, Web/UI, and database layers.

- Conduct regression, integration, and performance testing for APIs.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to resolve defects and improve test coverage.

- Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation and data integrity checks.

- Document test cases, test results, and ensure compliance with defined quality standards.

- Drive continuous improvement in test strategy, automation coverage, and efficiency.

- Support defect triage, RCA, and provide detailed defect reports for quick resolution.

Required Skillsets :

- Strong expertise in API testing (manual + automation).

- Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, RestSharp, and Playwright.

- Proficiency in designing automation frameworks for API and UI testing.

- Solid knowledge of SQL database queries and validation techniques.

- Experience in testing web applications and user interfaces.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and authentication mechanisms.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
